Rinoplasti
What is Rhinoplasty?
Rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure performed to correct the shape of the nose for aesthetic or functional reasons. Nose aesthetics aims to provide a natural and balanced appearance that is in harmony with the person's facial features. Rhinoplasty not only changes the size or shape of the nose, but can also be performed to resolve breathing problems and improve nasal function.
How is Rhinoplasty Performed?
The rhinoplasty procedure is performed by specialist cosmetic surgeons in a sterile clinic or hospital environment. Before the operation, the patient's nose structure is examined in detail and a surgical plan is prepared.
The surgeon makes the necessary corrections to the bridge, tip, or nostrils of the nose, reshaping the cartilage and bone structure if necessary. Incisions are usually made inside the nose or at the edge of the nostrils, so that post-operative scars are minimal. The procedure is usually performed under general anesthesia and takes between 1 and 3 hours. After the operation, the nose is supported with a special splint or bandage, and the healing process can take several weeks.
