Hair Transplantation

What is Hair Transplantation?

Hair transplantation is a permanent treatment method performed to promote hair regrowth in areas experiencing hair loss or thinning. In this procedure, the person's own healthy hair follicles are taken from areas resistant to hair loss, such as the back of the neck or behind the ears, and transplanted to balding areas. Hair transplantation is one of the most preferred procedures in the field of cosmetic surgery, and thanks to advanced technologies, natural and scar-free results are achieved today.

How is Hair Transplantation Performed?

The hair transplantation procedure is performed by specialist physicians and experienced teams in a sterile clinic environment. First, the person's hair is analyzed, and the cause of hair loss and suitability for transplantation are evaluated. Then, the area to be transplanted and the method to be used are determined.

During the procedure, local anesthesia is applied to relax the patient. Then, healthy hair follicles taken from the donor area are carefully separated under a microscope. They are placed one by one into micro-channels opened in the bald area. This allows the hair to grow at the most natural angle and creates a natural hairline.

Hair Transplant Methods

FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction): This is the most preferred method today. Hair follicles are individually extracted using special devices and transplanted to the bald area. It does not require stitches and leaves no scars.

DHI (Direct Hair Implant): This is a more advanced technique. Hair follicles are implanted directly using special implant pens. Recovery time is fast, and it allows for denser implantation.

FUT (Follicular Unit Transplantation): This is an older method where tissue is harvested in strips from the back of the head for implantation. It is not widely preferred today but can be used in certain cases.
