Eyelid Aesthetic
What is Eyelid Aesthetics?
Eyelid aesthetics, medically known as blepharoplasty, is a surgical aesthetic procedure that aims to eliminate sagging, puffiness, and wrinkles in the upper and/or lower eyelids. This procedure makes the eyes look younger and fresher from both an aesthetic and functional perspective. Aging, genetic factors, or environmental factors can cause the eyelid skin to loosen and bags to form under the eyes. Eyelid surgery aims to permanently resolve these issues.
How is Eyelid Surgery Performed?
The procedure is performed by specialist cosmetic surgeons in a sterile clinic or hospital environment. In upper eyelid aesthetics, excess skin and, if necessary, fatty tissue are removed, while in lower eyelid aesthetics, bags and sagging are corrected. The surgeon hides the incisions and stitches in the natural creases of the eyelids to achieve aesthetic results without leaving any scars.
Local or general anesthesia may be administered during the procedure. The process takes between 1 and 3 hours, depending on the patient's condition. The postoperative recovery process is quick, and patients can return to their daily activities in a short time.
